During the sorting out of my parents belonging, I came across my Dad’s metal water witching rods. I was immediately drawn to them, I held them and wondered why I touched the rusty old things. I am not a collector of old items, but for some reason these rods called out to me and I just had to have them. Not knowing why I would even want such rusted old things, I placed them on a ledge in the sunroom of my house. I remember my Dad bringing them out of the shed once in a while to find water and to show off his unbelievable talent in using them, they were very intriguing to me.
Not to my surprise I found myself in a dowsing class and now dowse homes and businesses, clearing out or transforming energy that does not serve the owners of the buildings.
Dowsing goes beyond reading bio electric field maps, beyond finding water or oil under the grounds surface.
In my practice, Dowsing is changing energies and vibrations from negative to positive fields of healing energy.
Understanding thoughts and actions and how energy works in the creation of our life is my working definition of dowsing. When we allow stress to come into our lives we fill and surround ourselves with weakening energies. When we fill and surround ourselves with positive thoughts and actions we fill our lives with healing, joyful energies.
There are different tools that can be used to dowse, I prefer the L-shaped rods because they give the most feedback to both the dowser and the observer. The tool used is really only a means, an object to measure the energy fields around us including the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual fields.
Once the energy is detected, I can begin to question where the energy came from, who it belongs to, etc. working to change or transform the energy. This transformation allows the family or business to regain his or her energetic power.
Dowsing is an ancient practice, alluded to in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, and has been used continually through modern history. Now I am using this ancient practice in a “new age” approach to solve problems and to transform energy.
Dowsing like many other vibration or transformational energy techniques are painless and will allow you to explore any barriers you may have created that limit your souls journey through life.

I have been at the Chopra Center for the last week partaking in the Chopra Primordial Sound Meditation Teacher Training. It is an extensive process, which has lasted approximately one year. The training was very intricate. I have to admit the last several weeks have been a bit stressful, even for a seasoned meditater.
If you are unfamiliar with my journey, my life has been crazy the last 5 or so years. There has been many extreme changes and losses and without meditation I have no idea where I would be today. It’s one thing to handle changes one at a time, but within a year and a half I have lost three parents. I can honestly say that with meditation my life has been an easier transition. Many people in my life have noticed how well I have handled the past few years and I have to say it is all because of my meditation practice.
Meditation has been highly advertised and there are many scientific studies to prove that meditation is a stress reliever. There are so many benefits to meditation that I am not able to cover them all in this blog.
I meditate twice a day, a half hour in the morning and a half hour in the evening. I go to my meditation space without expectations, meaning I go with the intention to relax and to quit my mind. I do not go into meditation expecting some great answers or huge messages to come through. I go to simply be. Finding a meditation style that works for you is the single most important thing to learn about meditation!
I also use a mantra because for me the mantra (which is simply a vibration) gives the logical mind something to do while the body can relax and release stress. My mantra also connects me with the universe and to the earth. My mantra is a primordial sound mantra, which is the sound the earth was making at the time and place of my birth. It is specific to me and truly resonates with me.
There are many types of meditation, which I explain in my Meditation and Mindfulness Class. The point is to find a meditative technique that is easy and comfortable for you.
If you meditate regularly and would like your own primordial sound meditation, please let me know. For more information, please contact me at [email protected] or call at 605-491-4037
Keep an eye on my Events page to see when the next class on Primordial Meditation is offered.

With all of the beautiful creative energy flowing in and around the universe this month, I felt it would be an appropriate time to talk about dreams and desires. When I was growing up dreams and desire were not discussed, they were seen as fairy tales that do not come true. Fairy tales were just something you watched on TV and had no real meaning in the “real” world. My parents belief was this: Sure you could wish them to come true, however unless you married money, dreams and desire were just the same as wishing. “Foolishness”, as my father would say.
When I was younger I loved to star gaze and wished for things to be different all the time, not really believing that they would come true because I was told that they could not. I still did it anyway, thinking to myself that maybe my dreams and desire could come true if I just wished hard enough or believed enough. What I didn’t know at the time was in order for things to truly manifest that there had to be some sort of action attached to the dream or desire. No wonder things never came true for my parents!
Today I wish, write down my dreams and desire and believe with my heart they will come true. Now as I am older I understand that the Universe delivers to you what ever you want. I know that when I dream and desire something, I need to work towards my goal, believe that it is going to happen and do what I need to do to make it happen.
I do expect Miracles!
I believe that suffering happens when our dreams and desire are not fulfilled. Think about your own life, what has been suffering for you? When your dreams and desires do not happen the way you want them to happen, what do you do? Do you give up? Have you stopped dreaming all together?
What I know to be true in my life is when I dream of what I want to happen, I need to let go of expectations of how it is going to play out. Trust that it is the right thing for my life and know that in some way it will happen.
So go ahead, dream all you want. Take Action and Trust!

I can hear you asking what the heck is an Intuitive Life & Wellness Coach? Aren’t coaches suppose to be coaching sporting events? Why would I hire myself a coach?
According to a Manchester Consulting Group study of Fortune 100 executives, the Economic Times reports “coaching resulted in a return on investment of almost six times the program cost as well as a 77% improvement in relationships, 67% improvement in teamwork, 61% improvement in job satisfaction and 48% improvement in quality.”
Additionally, a study of Fortune 500 telecommunications companies by MatrixGlobal found executive coaching resulted in a 529% return on investment.
The CIPD concludes “coaching is not just perceived as a nice-to-have intervention.”
As an Intuitive Life & Wellness Coach I have an advantage as I do not use a script which many coaches do, instead I use my intuition. What is the difference you ask? The difference is that I connect to my higher self/spirit and ask what needs to take place in order for change to happen? This is a very affective approach as we focus on the blocks or where the struggle is. This approach limits the time spent coaching and moves you quickly to living a more fulfilling life.
Coaching is not used to fix problems in your life, it is most effective when you want to hone your positive skills. I use Positive Psychology in my coaching practice focusing on your strengths and how you can utilize your skills to make the changes you desire. I am skilled in the process of change behavior by using a variety of techniques.
Coaching is a highly powerful activity and you can achieve remarkable progress in a short period of time. Most coaching sessions are 45 minutes to 1 hour in length and are generally held once a week for 4-5 sessions, a miniscule amount of time to invest in yourself, or your company.
As a coach, I am your advocate, not your friend. I will hold you accountable so you reach your dreams, desire and goals. My coaching relationship is unilateral, I am exclusively focused on you and your goals.
Angela is an ICF licensed Life & Wellness Coach. So, if you are motivated to reach your goals or to improve an area of your life, I’m ready for you! Call me at 605-491-4037 or email at [email protected].

I have often wondered why I cannot remember much of my childhood and it has come up recently again, by spirit. I grew up in a pretty dysfunctional home and I have often wondered why I do not remember or carry the emotional scares that many of my family. I have a psychology background and usually just associate it to my understanding of how emotions relate and are created by ones perspective. I truly believe that if you change your perspective you not only change your emotions, but also your life.
Recently it has come to my attention again that I do not have many memories before age 12-14. In the past, I usually acknowledged the thought of not knowing and then simply set the thought free, this time seemed to be different. There was an importance about it, and spirit would not allow me to set it free.
I went to a friend of mine who is practicing to become an EFT practitioner and asked if we could dig deeper into this issue. And we did!
As I begin tapping, no memories come through, then there are a few glimpses, mostly glimpse of memories from looking at picture that have been taken, but nothing significant. Then I ask, “where was I”? If I wasn’t there (in my childhood) then where was I? Much to my amazement the answer was, you weren’t really there. What? What does that mean? To make a long story short what we discovered was that I was being protected by spirits and angels and did not have the reality of what was going on most of the time. Spirit had set everything up so beautifully for me.
You see my life purpose is to be a cycle breaker, I knew that all my life. I was born into my family to break the cycle of addiction. And spirit had protected me so that I could become the annoying pain that I was in my teens and early 20’s so that I could do just that, be a cycle breaker. I was sort of a rebel with people back then, not being very polite when it came to convincing people to stop their crazy addictive lives, but for the most part it worked. Never really worked for my father, but there are several family members who are sober to this day.
What I took away from this knowledge and lesson is that we all have this divine right to be loved and protected from spirit. That was probably the most difficult emotion to acknowledge was this sense of overwhelming love and protection. My thinking led me to, “who am I to be privileged to this kind of protection?” I am not worthy of this, only really spiritual people are worthy of being protected. When you grow up in a dysfunctional home praise and unconditional love is not high on the priority list. I grew up with a sense of not being worthy, of not having open lines of communication and being loved was often questionable. All I really know right now is that we all need to step into our divine right and that we are all worthy of spirits divine love.

Do you feel her vibrate beneath your feet? Can you feel her as the wind blows across your body, your face, as she blows away what’s not needed any longer and brings in new energy? Can you see her bring the rain to wash away all the dust, allergens and bring new life to the trees and plants? Can you hear her call your name when you meditate by the water?
When devastation happens to our earth do you feel trees suffering? Do you feel the anger of streams and rivers as they flood, the rushing water as it slams against the shore? Do you smell the cleanness of a spring rain? Do you smell the freshness of the cold snowy night? What happens to you when a winter storm hits your house? Do you even pay attention to what is happening outside? The coldness as it seeps into your body and sends shivers all through your body, what is happening to you when that happens? What are you thinking about?
Today I sit in my porch writing this blog, the wind is whipping the trees and leaves around as if they are puppets being controlled. My rose bushes seem to be enjoying the wind as their leaves are being cleaned from the dust that has accumulated on them. Allowing them to breathe more easily. The wind is cold and it seems to be telling me to prepare for winter as it is probably coming sooner than I wish it to.
I can hear the wind as it tries to rip off shingles and open windows without actually opening them. It screams through the screens and vibrates the glass as I wonder how on earth it can withstand the force without shattering.
There are raindrops on the window that simply remain still, there is so much force from the wind that they cannot gather and run down the window. Nor do they dry, they just simply stay in place, like they are afraid to do anything.
I can feel the winds vibration, my body sort of likes it, mostly because of the smell of freshness. Yet it stings my face and send chills up my spine. It’s not as though it is a horrible feeling, it’s not the most pleasant of feelings either.
With the wind brings a sort of “airing out of the laundry” feelings. Move the old stagnant air and bringing in air from some other part of the country. If you pay close attention the smell is not the same as it was yesterday. I wonder where this air came from, who breathed it in before I am? What plant seeds, or new allergens is it bringing with it?
My whole point to this form of questioning is simple. What do you pay attention to when Mother earth brings us something besides blue sky’s and sunshine? When there is damage to trees, buildings, plants and animals how do you feel or do you pay attention at all? There seems to be an array of devastating storms lately and I wonder if we are even paying attention to what Mother earth is telling us. What seems to be her message or is she simply ripping down the old so we can begin with new?
